Exempt Development Letters
DeltaCert provides Exempt Development Letters to confirm that proposed building works meet the criteria for exempt development under the applicable planning controls and the NSW Codes SEPP – 2008.
Our assessment includes a review of the proposed works against relevant legislation, planning provisions, and NCC requirements to determine eligibility for exemption from planning approval. Where compliant, a formal letter is issued for client, builder, or council reference.
This service assists in providing clarity and assurance prior to construction, helping avoid delays, compliance risks, or unnecessary approvals.
This is not an approval, but a professional Letter of Opinion confirming that:
- The proposed works meet all Exempt Development Standards and codes.
- No DA (Development Application) or CDC (Complying Development Certificate) is required
The works comply with:
- Codes SEPP – (Exempt and Complying Development Codes) 2008
- Relevant LEP/DCP controls
- National Construction Code (Australia) (NCC)
